Karen Giammichhio Named New Nurse Manager for Lurie Clinical Cancer Center

Karen Giammicchio, BSN, MSN, has joined the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University at Northwester Medical Faculty Foundation (NMFF) as Nurse Manager for the Clinical Cancer Center.

Prior to joining the Lurie Cancer Center, Karen was Director of Prevention and Early Detection at Alexian Brothers Hospital Network. She brings extensive and progressive management experience from Alexians's Cancer Center, Women's Center and Genetics program. Karen has experience as both a medical and surgical staff nurse, as well as an instructor. She may be reached at extension 5-2512.

As part of the management team on Galter 21, Karen will provide day-to-day oversight and support for the Clinical Cancer Center's practice, programs and services, including nursing, safety, human resources, and clinical care among all divisions. She will work closely with NMFF and Lurie Cancer Center leadership and staff.
