Clinical Pharmacology Core

The Donnelley Clinical Pharmacology Core Facility was established to provide investigators with pharmacokinetic support for clinical studies, including Phase I and Phase II clinical trials, of cancer chemotherapeutic agents and analgesics. Support includes optimizing the design, conduct, analysis, and interpretation of the pharmacokinetic portion of the proposed clinical study. Chemotherapeutic and analgesic concentrations in body fluids are measured using a state-of-the-art Agilent high performance liquid chromatography system linked to an Applied Biosystems API 3000 triple quadripole mass spectrometer. Drug concentration histories are fitted to various compartmental pharmacokinetic models using commercially available and specialized software.
