The Cancer Center's Patient and Family Advocacy Advisory Board brings together cancer survivors, family members, physicians, nurses and educators to advance the Cancer Center's understanding and commitment to quality cancer care in a patient and family centered manner. This group meets six times a year to discuss mentoring programs, review clinical trials for the Cancer Center Web site and hear about upcoming Cancer Center patient programs or education activities. In addition, some members of the Patient Advisory Board sit on the Clinical Research Office Review Board and help educate medical students about cancer survivorship.
