The Pigmented Lesion Clinic in the Department of Dermatology provides state of the art medical care for individuals with numerous irregular moles, dysplastic moles and melanoma. The clinic is held weekly and offers medical and surgical management of pigmented lesions. Mary C. Martini, MD, directs the clinic and is part of a multispecialty team providing care. This program incorporates whole body digital photography in addition to magnified dermoscopic images of individual moles as a method of monitoring for the development of melanoma. Emphasis is also placed on patient education pertaining to sun protection and signs of developing skin cancer.
