Travel Grants   |   Training Programs

The Cancer Center offers nationally funded training programs for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and minority undergraduate students. Students may pursue basic science, translational science or prevention based research under the guidance of established investigators with NIH funded research programs. Trainees receive state-of-the-art training using the latest techniques to investigate the mechanisms by which hormones, growth factors, receptors and transcription factors control cell growth, transformation and metastasis. In addition to laboratory research, trainees participate in journal clubs and seminar series. Trainees receive a stipend and tuition scholarship (for PhD students) to support their research training.
